AP Signs MoU With YouTube and Tezaract to Launch Creator Academy

In a significant move to promote creative economic development in Andhra Pradesh, the state government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two prominent organizations - Tesseract US Inc., and YouTube Academy India for setting up a Creator Academy in the region.

The MoU was formalised in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, during a special event held in Singapore.

Teja Dharma, President of Tesseract US Inc., Arjun Doraiswamy, Head of YouTube Academy India, and Katamneni Bhaskar, Secretary, IT Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, signed the agreement.

According to the MoU, the A.P. Government will establish a Centre of Excellence focused on the development of creative content. Google will back the initiative by supplying resources, technology, and knowledge for curriculum and training modules, while Tesseract will handle the physical infrastructure, management, and daily operations.

The program seeks to provide content creators with the essential skills, knowledge, and resources to thrive in the fast-changing digital content sector. It also aims to foster innovation in the creative economy and support national economic development.

During the event, Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted that the main objective of the partnership is to enable young creators and foster future digital talent from Andhra Pradesh.
