NCERT, Canva Launch Free Digital Training for Educators

• Canva partners with NCERT to offer free training on AI, design, and visual learning via DIKSHA.

To empower Indian educators with digital resources and innovative teaching abilities, Canva has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The collaboration offers three complimentary self-paced teacher training and certification programs, designed to enhance visual learning, AI proficiency, and design thinking in classrooms nationwide.

The training will take place on DIKSHA, the national platform for school education by the Ministry of Education, and will be accessible in various Indian languages.

The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to support numerous teachers by encouraging creativity and contemporary classroom approaches.

With this initiative, Canva will provide complimentary access to its educational platform, featuring resources for crafting lesson plans, infographics, presentations, and collaborative learning tools.

Educators will discover how to utilize AI-driven resources, such as Dream Lab, which assist in creating visuals and clarifying intricate subjects. The training aims to boost classroom participation, foster students’ creative thinking, and ease teachers’ workload by simplifying content development.

Along with being accessible on DIKSHA, the certification material will also be aired on PM eVidya DTH TV channels, providing offline access for teachers in distant regions with limited internet connectivity.

After finishing, educators will receive a joint certificate from Canva and NCERT, enhancing their professional qualifications. The certification seeks to assist educators in developing more inclusive, engaging, and student-focused educational settings.
