IIM Lucknow unveils blended MBA for working professionals

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) has launched a two-year Blended Master of Business Administration (bMBA) program, designed with working professionals and entrepreneurs in mind.

The bMBA program is a hybrid program with on-campus modules that provides online distance learning and guarantees that participants will earn advanced management education while still remaining fully embedded in their professional careers.

The program is organized into six terms; the first year focuses on key management concepts, while the second year consists of electives covering Strategy, Finance, Marketing, IT Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources, thus replicating IIM Lucknow's flagship MBA curriculum. Participants will also learn about a Capstone project, evaluating a real-world application of business principles.

The application process opens on July 11, 2025, and closes on August 18, 2025. Candidates who are shortlisted for interview will be interviewed online between September 1 and September 3, 2025, and classes will start on September 25, 2025.

The learning format consist of live virtual classes, and periods of in-person learning sessions at IIM Lucknow’s campus. The content will include interactive lectures, software tools, and collaborative learning.

A minimum of three years full time working experience, post-graduation, and a minimum age requirement of 24 is required for applicants, as well as at least 15 years of formal education and 50% aggregate marks in graduation. Candidates with professional qualification (CA, CS, ICWA/CMA) or (AIU recognized) foreign degree are also welcome to apply.

The selection process considers the candidates academic background, work experience, test scores, interview performance and other aspects; wherever possible, the selection process is in keeping with the nature of the business.

The course focuses on providing leadership skills, strategic thinking, and digital skills, so that professionals are equipped to take on the challenges of fast paced business environments, supported by practical experiences and demonstrations of contemporary tools and practices.
