The registration process for the UGC NET December 2025 exam has commenced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Individuals interested in applying for the roles of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or PhD programs can now complete the application form on the official site at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The official announcement states that the UGC NET 2025 examination will take place in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format for 85 subjects at various centers throughout India. The NTA will later publish the examination city information, admit card issuance date, and the precise timetable for the test on its website.
The online application period will be available from October 7, 2025, to November 7, 2025, ending at 11:50 PM. Candidates need to finish their fee payment by November 7, 2025 (by 11:50 PM). A correction period will be open from November 10 to November 12, 2025 (until 11:50 PM) for implementing any required modifications.
Information about the exam location, downloading the admit card, and the examination date will be provided later, as stated on the admit card. The responses that were recorded along with the answer key, will be published later on the official website.

The UGC NET application cost is Rs 1,150 for applicants from the General (Unreserved) category. Applicants belonging to the General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories are required to pay a fee of Rs 600, whereas SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender applicants are required to pay Rs 325. Payment can be completed using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI method.
