IIM Nagpur Launches First Blended MBA for Working Professionals

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur has officially launched the first group of its Blended MBA Programme for Working Professionals, marking a significant advancement in the institute’s international outreach. The initial group includes 83 professionals from 20 Indian states and various international sites, indicating growing global interest in IIM Nagpur’s industry-focused programs.

At the launch ceremony, Dr. N. Muthukumar, Managing Director of Kaynes Technology India Limited, highlighted the transformative impact of management education. Looking back on his career path, he observed that an MBA transforms leaders' perspectives on their teams and their responsibilities in empowering individuals. He emphasized that flexibility is essential in the business realm—advancement belongs to those who accept transformation, while opposition frequently obstructs development.

Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, referred to the program as a crucial milestone in IIM Nagpur’s goal to grow internationally via innovation. He highlighted the institute’s prominence in digital education, cyber security, and energy management, and stated his belief that India’s emergence as a global economic power will require leaders prepared for the future. “This Blended MBA will act as a catalyst for shaping tomorrow’s business ecosystem,” he said.

Participants possess experience from a wide range of sectors such as IT, manufacturing, logistics, energy and power, consulting, healthcare, education, oil and gas, defense, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, AI, OEMs, agriculture, food and beverage, among others. Prominent organizations featured in the group consist of TCS, Cognizant, PolicyBazaar, HPCL, and Lloyds MEL.

Featuring a design that integrates digital teaching methods and high-level management training, the programme provides working professionals the chance to improve their leadership skills while continuing their careers. The launch emphasizes IIM Nagpur’s dedication to developing globally proficient leaders who can influence India's economic and business future.
